Carrie is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#152054) practicing in Los Angeles, CA under the supervision of Kate Behzadi, LMFT (#97100). Carrie holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has therapeutic and dietary experience in an eating disorder treatment setting at Center For Discovery and completed her clinical training at the Southern California Counseling Center, where she worked with diverse populations facing a wide range of concerns. Carrie believes that therapy is a collaborative process in which she is here to help guide your exploration and assist you in recognizing the strength and resilience you already possess. She specializes in treating eating disorders and body image, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, and life transitions. She also has a particular passion for helping women work through the unique challenges they may face.

About Me

I have always loved stories. I am interested in the ways our past experiences and relationships shape who we are today, coming together like pieces of a puzzle. I initially pursued a career in the entertainment industry, drawn by my passion for exploring people’s stories. However, I soon realized that this path left me unfulfilled and disconnected from my core values and I realized my true passion was helping people unpack and process their own personal stories. I now dedicate myself to supporting individuals on their journeys toward growth, healing, and self-discovery. 

As a therapist, I strive to create a safe, non-judgemental therapeutic environment through warmth, empathy, and authenticity. My goal is to create a connection that feels meaningful and safe. I believe the therapeutic relationship can be one of the most powerful tools for personal growth, and I aim to create a space where you can safely explore your emotional world. Together, we’ll explore your past, process your present, and imagine a future that aligns with what you truly want. My approach draws from Attachment Theory, Family Systems, and evidence based-modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help alleviate symptoms and create space for deeper, transformational work. 

I know firsthand how valuable therapy can be. My decision to become a therapist was heavily influenced by my own therapeutic work with a longtime therapist who helped clarify my direction. That experience inspired me to do for others what my therapist did for me—helping people envision and achieve the lives they want.
